Varvara Guljajeva uses electronics to make her photography come to life. In the one example shown in the video – http://www.reframingphotography.com/artists/varvara-guljajeva- a motion sensor is connected to the eyes of a baby in the photo. When anyone approaches, the baby blinks his eyes, creating an illusion of reality.
The experience is a little disconcerting at first, but once accepted, quite an interesting approach to photography. The motion is limited to the electronics present, for example the baby can only open and close his eyes, and thus is not too much like a film or moving photo. Instead it makes the picture come to life in an innovative way.
